Today’s event, produced by the impressive public health-urban planning partnership between Harvard and MIT, will feature the Play Across Boston initiative (Monday, May 11, 12:30-1:20pm at HSPH (Kresge G-2) Harvard School of Public Health, 677 Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02115). The talk will address how:

  • Access to youth physical activity is uneven across the city
  • Race, ethnicity, and geography predict access
  • Unequal access ultimately affects every group, and the entire region’s health and economic prospects
  • Partnerships can help reduce disparities

Given Springfield’s dramatic neighborhood-to-neighborhood contrasts, can you imagine a Play Across Springfield map? Would you like to partner with The Springfield Institute to help draft one?
