These children live in Springfield. Their parents are undocumented but they are US citizens. Locally, the Pioneer Valley Project works to support these families by giving out food during the winter when there’s little work, because parents work at local farms, and helping them access medical care. We are working now on food security issues and would like to start a food coop and help bring fresh produce into the city at affordable prices. If you’d like to be part of this effort, or if you have expertise or time to work on food security issues, I’d love to hear from you. You can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or respond to me here at the Springfield Institute.
