UMass economist links family planning & economic recovery

Family planning was removed from the federal stimulus bill at the last minute, but there is a rigorous economic argument for it. For those of you who needed an additional rationale for reducing teens births and health disparities, the UMass Amherst CPPA web site features a NY Times blog post by Nancy Folbre (UMass Amherst economist). The post describes how contraception increases women’s access to higher ed and better-paying jobs.
